Help Regarding Healing Monk
well i maxed out my warrior and i decided to make a primary healer monk. Im currently a lvl 13 mo/e. To heal my party i use breeze, orison of healing, and heal party. im currently starting bloodstone fen. ive got a couple questions....
1. what are the good healing spells? i assume heal area/other/healing seed are the big ones im missiong, but what else? 2. why does divine flavor not always work? sometimes when i heal someone i do like +49 with an additional +19 with divine flavor. but sometimes it doesnt do the additional +19. isnt it always suppost to do the +19? 3. i want to be a smiting monk also, what are the good smiting attacks? i currently use bane signet and banish for my smiting attacks. for support for the team, and also i want to be able to solo mob's to do dmg to all. 4. i put 6 points (lvl 3) into fire mastry, but the only fire skills i use right now is firestorm to nuke. but id rather just use smiting, but i dont want the points to go to waste. do i understsand it correctly, if i remove the points ill end up losing 3 points to gain 3? |

Mmm, Divine Flavor. Is that chocolate? Ambrosia? Nectar? =)
Anyway, many monk primaries also like Dwayna's Kiss for a cheap, spamable spell. There's also Signet of Devotion, which is controversial but definitely a good way to help manage your energy levels. Divine Favor only works on "Monk Spells". If you use a non-monk spell, it won't work. If you use a monk ability that isn't a spell, it won't work. For a given skill, though, it should always work or not work. If that's not the case, speak up. It's probably a bug. There's not that many good Smiting skills available for some time. Signet and Banish are pretty good for a long time as support attacks. I think you -might- be confused about how attribute points are spent. The divine favor healing bonus doesn't display to you if you cast it on someone else. It still works though.

Pretty sure you should have 'heal other' by now. I believe it's in Beetletun, but you might check the skill listing on guru to be sure.
Word of Healing is spiffy, but it's elite and not available until the desert. |

So points in divine favour will almost always provide the bounus, unless you're doing a signet build or mostly smite. |

Healing touch for yourself, word of healing for everyone else. Other than that I generally don't find I need any other heal spells. Healing seed if you want some extra utility and maybe heal area if you work out positioning with your team beforehand.
